Sanlam is delighted to announce the launch of a series of online speaker events titled, Invested in the Future.
Over the next five months, Sanlam will be hosting five complimentary virtual seminars, supported by a panel of the UK’s leading thinkers, experts and social commentators. As well as investment trends, the seminars will explore how our world will change as we emerge from the covid-19 pandemic and what the future holds for our money, security, cities, healthcare and happiness.
The first event will take place on 25 February at 11am and we will be discussing the future of money with Stephen King, Senior Economic Adviser at HSBC, specialist adviser to the House of Commons Treasury Committee and author of When the money runs out: the end of western affluence and Grave new world: the end of globalisation.
The series, which will be streamed live in broadcast quality, will also include:
-
25 March: The Future of Security with Major General Jonathan Shaw. Jonathan has seen active service in the Falklands, Kosovo and Iraq conflicts and was the UK’s first Head of Cyber Security Policy at the Ministry of Defence.
-
29 April: The Future of Cities with Andrew Carter, CEO of the Centre for Cities. Andrew has spent over two decades examining how we can improve our cities and has spent time in the USA reviewing urban development policies in Washington, New York and Boston.

-
6 July: The Future of Happiness with positive psychology expert, author and one of 100 global leaders to contribute to the World Book of Happiness, Miriam Akthar.
